    The Uncommon Thread is a fast growing non-profit autism organization committed to early intervention. Our center provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children dealing with learning, developmental and behavioral disorders, including autism. We cater to children ages 18 months to 13 years old, both in our center, in homes and schools across New Jersey.

    Job Description/About the Position:
    • Responsible for supporting Human Resources Administrator, Outreach Specialist, Staff Director and Insurance/Billing Coordinator
    • Updating and maintaining employee's and families'/client's confidential information
    • Responsible for entering insurance claims to database coordinator
    • Track/reconcile insurance payments (EOBs) against claims filed
    • Prepare school district invoices, parent invoices and payroll
    • Ability to assist with billing invoices as well as certain accounts payable tasks
    • Maintain confidential papers and documents
    • Gather information, prepare reports/presentations as requested
    Administrative Support
    • Perform basic office duties such as answering the telephone, direct calls, emails, ordering office supplies, etc
    • Participate in tasks requiring added assistance and support to Staff Director, HR, Outreach and Marketing departments, when needed
    • Organize, file, and maintain important documents or records
    • Other related duties as assigned

    Preferred Skills/Interests:
    • Bachelor's Degree, with background in Finance/Accounting preferred
    • Working knowledge of Excel, Office, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Preferred background knowledge of Central Reach and QuickBooks
    • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail
    • High energy level, comfortable performing multiple tasks
    • Self-starter and willing to take initiative
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; team player
    • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful and mature manner
    • Positive attitude with desire to be successful and help others
