Washburn All-Solid Woods (Spruce over Rosewood) J56SW Timbercraft Jumbo Acoustic Guitar, $350.00

All-solid wood construction; solid spruce top over solid rosewood back and sides, wood binding, Grover tuners. From the premium Washburn Timbercraft line of all-solid-wood guitars. Plays perfectly, with low, fast, easy action.

Guitar looks and plays fine, just thinning the herd. Used, was a display model; I've set it up with excellent playability, low, fast action, but it has almost invisible, except from up-close, finish(?) crack from middle of bridge to bottom of face, and a hairline horizontal crack in the bridge. Only noticed the bridge crack when I looked really closely, it's not really obvious, as the guitar is absolutely solid, no movement at all if you press on the affected areas. See the pictures and the higher-resolution pictures. I've played at jams with it numerous times, no problems at all. And it still looks and feels fairly new; when you get it in your hands, you'll see what I mean. If you are at all seriously interested, arrange a no-obligation meeting to check it out and play it yourself.

It's an excellent-playing and excellent-sounding guitar (you won't be disappointed), loud and rich tone at less than half the original retail price.

Check around, see how much an all-solid spruce-over-rosewood jumbo guitar usually costs, if you can find one, especially for this price. For this price, the best you can do is laminate-maple-backed, maybe with a solid top. A rosewood-backed jumbo, solid wood or not, is fairly rare. This particular model, now discontinued, is almost impossible to find. This one listed in the $1400 range new, street price was about $800. Washburn doesn't have any all-solid jumbo guitars in its current offerings.

Email if interested. I can meet almost anytime in SW Brooklyn (N 8th Avenue subway station at 8th Avenue and 62nd St, Brooklyn), or in Union Square after 5:30pm (Mon-Thu), or certain hours (inquire) on weekends.

BTW, if you ARE interested, we can save a lot of time and emailing back and forth if you, rather than just vaguely specifying an interest, state in your initial contact if you have any questions and/or if you want to arrange a meeting for a no obligation tryout/buy. My meeting parameters are stated previously; if you want to meet let me know what time works for you, ideally subject to those parameters. Just a suggestion.
